Newbie Blogger Initiative 2014 [NBI]

The Newbie Blogger Initiative, NBI for short, has started up for 2014, and the month of May will once again highlight some tentative first steps for many fledgling bloggers.

I started blogging about 2 years ago during the 2012 NBI, and have kinda been going, off and on, ever since. It's a fun and creative outlet, but can get lonely at times – something the NBI helps with.

I definitely encourage anyone who has considered starting a blog or who just likes jotting down their thoughts about gaming or a particular game to start a blog and join with the NBI. There is safety in numbers, and by joining the NBI community, new bloggers can get support and encouragement – which you don't always get when starting a blog. They are also looking to build some guides this year that could come in handy for things like chosing a blogging platform or using social networks.

If nothing else, take a jump over to NBI Headquarters and look at the new bloggers who are courageous enough to hit the publish button.
