Leveling all the way to 2

Logging in to my new Druid, I find myself in Camp Narache in Mulgore, summoned by Chief Hawkwind. He describes how the quillboar have encroached on the village and killed the Greatmother. I am outraged! How dare they come into our camp and kill our people!

The Chief has designated his son as the leader of a counterattack and since I have just come of age, he sends me to help out.

Finding Grull is pretty easy and for my efforts, I am rewarded with 8 copper pieces! That's the most money I've had at one time ever. I'm gonna have to figure out what kind of goodies I will buy with all that money.

Along with the copper, I get 10% experience towards my next level – I should get there fast at this rate. In any case, once I find Grull, he sends me off to hunt the Bristleback invaders. I'm a bit worried since these are the guys who killed the Greatmother, but I trust that Grull would not send me on a suicide mission. This Rite of Strength is to be my first ceremony as an adult Tauren, so off I go.

As I start to look for the Bristlebacks, I take a look at my new Druid abilities to see how I can kills these brutes.

Wrath is a nature spell that packs a good punch against these Bristlebacks – 3 shots and they go down. It can miss though, and when they run at you, it can be scary. Fortunately, my rudimentary clothing and thick hide seem to protect me from the worst of their attacks while I bash them with my staff to finish them off. Killing off 6 of them goes pretty fast, and I am headed back to Grull.

He quickly sees that I accomplished my mission, and offers me a choice of items to use in future battles. I grabbed the Sun Bleached Bracers since I didn't like getting hit by those Bristlebacks – let me shoot them with my Wrath and use my armor to protect me if they get close. He also granted me level 2.

Now there was not much of a ceremony or anything and I did not get any new skills, but I was petty excited. I felt more powerful and my Wrath spell got a bit stronger which should help in future fights.

After all the excitement, I needed a break, so I logged off to get a drink.

Fantasy Football

In Fantasy Football news, I finished the draft pretty well. I think I drafted a decent team. 4 WR, 4 RB, 2 QB, 1 TE, a kicker and a defense. I'll post my team soon so you can see if I grabbed anyone interesting. I did have last pick and was tempted to get Manziel, but I really am not into his hype.

Bout of Books

I really did not get much reading done in Deadly Curiosities yesterday as I read through 75 or so pages of my Fantasy Football Guide and then spent too many hours in the draft. I hope to catch up and finish this weekend.

This is post 22 in my Blaugust Challenge.
