When did my gaming become so much work?

Morning ramble featuring a few quick thoughts on Eve, Wurm, and Comic-Con.

Eve

Well I logged into Eve online last night and saw that my corporation had now abandoned their alliance and moved 44 jumps away. These things happen but that's a lot of jumps for me to go solo. Especially in Null Sec. I guess I have to figure if I have a jump clone that is closer to our new home or whether I should go ahead with the 44 jumps. I figure it'll take an hour and a half to two hours since Null Sec isn't the safest place and it'll take me a little bit of time to ensure I safely get there. Or I could just blow myself up and end up there as well – who knows. I didn't want to spend the time last night to find out.

Wurm Online

After seeing the task ahead of me in Eve, I logged into Wurm. Things are in a pretty sorry state since I haven't been keeping up my deed for the past couple of weeks with Comic-Con and being sick. I even had grass growing in my fields – that means my cotton over grew, then wasted away, then grass started growing in its place. It only happened to one of my fields, but I felt like I have really been slacking in upkeep. I cultivated all the fields and then planted their normal pumpkins, cotton, wemp, and potatoes. I've got a few big tasks coming up in Wurm since I need to find a new horse. My current one is venerable and probably won't last too much longer. I heard someone was selling horses on the other side of the lake, but haven't made the trip yet, maybe this weekend. That means making up some healing covers in case I get hurt, making some food that can help me last during the trip, and sharpening my weapons. It should be a fun adventure since I haven't left my deed in a long while – I hope they are still selling horses down there.

Comic-Con panels

I found videos of a couple of panels from Comic-Con – one I attended and the other I wanted to attend. The Firefly Online panel was pretty cool and I look forward to seeing what they come up with for the mobile platforms. It looks like they want to make this an interactive verse where everyone's actions effect what is happening in the game world – it's pretty ambitious, but I like the idea. And talking about ambition, the Star Citizen game could be the most ambitious game idea in quite a while. I did not attend the panel, but I wanted to post it here so I would be able to view it whenever I wanted. If they can do what they plan to do with Star Citizen, it could be the best game ever…but that is a big IF.
