Finally got a PS4

I finally pulled the trigger and picked up a PlayStation 4.

I grabbed the Destiny: The Taken King Limited Edition Bundle since the Best Buy I went to had that and the Last of Us version, but they wanted more money for the one I didn't get. In any case, I wanted to get and try out Destiny and I liked the white case.

With my purchase I also picked up Bloodborne and The Elder Scrolls Online. I finally bought the console because a good friend has one and he is starting to play ESO so I wanted to level up with him.

So I get home with my not so inexpensive purchase and…I can't play. The monitor that I've used for console gaming doesn't have an HDMI input. RadioShack to the rescue – yes there are still a few of them left and they sometimes still have bits of electronics that can come in handy. With it, I'm not running in HD so I'll probably be getting a new monitor with an HDMI input, but at least I can get started installing and updating things. I'm really looking forward to seeing what makes this new generation of consoles so good, but in the mean time, I'll settle for less than perfect resolution.

If anyone has a recommended monitor that would be good for console gaming – has an HDMI port – and can be used as a nice monitor every once in a while for my laptop, drop a comment below or send me a tweet.
