Halt and Catch Fire Renewed!

Usually I put together a little post about the television I've been watching on Sunday, but since I haven't been watching much, I don't have much to say about current shows.

I did hear a few things about some of the shows I usually watch though. For instance, I heard that Minority Report is not looking like it is going to be on much beyond the next few weeks. From what I heard, the original order of 12 episodes has been reduced to 10. That's probably because they already filmed 10 shows and were not interested in the crew filming any more. It's sad, since a program with such a neat foundation in SciFi and such a cool movie/book it was based off should really have been a better show. I watched the first episode and felt like they were holding my hand, kicking and screaming as they repeatedly tried to invoke the movie as if that would be the only reason someone would watch the show. Apparently it was, or at least people were not interested in a show that tried so hard to rely on the movie it was related to that they decided not to watch it at all. In any case, I watched one episode and the other few are sitting on my TiVo.

Another piece of news I heard, this time good news is that Halt and Catch Fire has been picked up for a third season. I am totally excited to hear this since this is one of my favorite summer programs. The first season was wonderful, but the second built upon that and was great! With the season finale ending with the entire cast moving to California, I think there are tons of stories to continue the series. I am really looking forward to this one come next summer, and I am so surprised it was picked up.

Now if only Big Crazy Family Adventure comes back for another season, my summer will be set.
