Moving Beyond the Introduction

So happy my ear is finally feeling better. It's actually at the phase where it's itching a bit because it is healing but it's pretty much almost done with the pain. Thank God!

Breaking out of the Intro

I'm still moving along at my snails pace in Lord of the Rings Online. I believe I've completed the Intro quests and I went through and completed all the objectives and quests in Thorin's Gate and acepted the last quest. Along the way I decided that I would go for Keeper of the Animals as far as my initial lore-master traits go. From what I've heard and researched on the net, this is a good solo build that should get me through things pretty quickly by allowing my pet to tank and do significant damage. I may end up being a little bit of a support for my “best friend” but at the same time it offers good survivability and the ability to attack quite a few mobs at the same time. Here are the initial details of Keeper of the Animals.

Keeper Of Animals

A strong bond with Beasts for attack and defence.
Animal companions ensure their keeper's survival, using bonuses and pet-master interactions to help both thrive in battle.
Your companions have the following bonuses:
+5% Morale
+5% Power
+2% Attack Speed
+2% Outgoing Damage
+1% Critical Chance
+2% Block Chance
+2% Parry Chance
+2% Evade Chance
+1 Stealth
+1 Stealth Detection
Coordination:
When your animal companion lands a critical strike, your next skill has no induction.
This effect cannot trigger more than once every 10s.

I think this is a good start, and when I get into groups and need to heal or do DPS, I can work to set up the other trait trees accordingly.

Final Quest

As far as the last quest goes, there's some interesting scenes where we attack a bunch of evil looking Dwarves. And there is not much left of Skorgrim's Tomb after we escape.

For the most part this dungeon area looks fairly similar to the Rockbelly Pit that we went through a few quests ago which makes some sense. These underground areas are all crafted by the same Dwarves only one has been allowed to revert a bit back to nature as evidenced by all the vines hanging from the ceiling.

One thing that you'll notice is that the crystal sconces are very similar and that, like I said, makes complete sense – they were both crafted by the same people.

Now that we are done with Thorin's Gate, we start our journey in the wider world of Middle Earth and exciting adventures await.
