Submitting Posts from my IPad

Well here goes try #2…

It has happened…my favorite iPad blogging app is no longer being developed. Blogsy has even been taken down from the App Store and I fear I may not be able to use it much longer. Already there is a sluggishness and sadly, I am starting to experience some issues.

Apparently with the latest update to iOS, there were some changes that effected the app. I noticed it primarily because I can no longer post images through Blogsy to the blog. Somehow, the iOS update broke the mechanism used to pull pictures from the iPad Camera Roll or even Google Photos. My workflow has suffered as I now update the post, then edit and add images through the WordPress web app and then come back to Blogsy to finalize everything…not an efficient process. And even then, I can’t edit the image size or position which is really bad.

So here is my first attempt at finding something other than Blogsy to post with. This post is generated in BlogPress and its my first time here. It’ll take a while to figure out all the details, but so far, so good. I can post.

Now I just need to figure out how to post images.

Here’s the first look in LOTRO after I finished the Skorgrim’s Tomb quest line and moved on from the Introduction…

Here I just added the image from my Camera Roll on my iPad and it seems to work…at least I looks like it from within Blogpress.

Now let’s see about adding an image from Google Photos…these are the ones I’ve been having lots of issues with when using Blogsy – the past few posts need to be updated to correct missing images.

Actually this one was also from my Camera Roll, but I tried to “save it” to my Google Photos album…we’ll see how that went…

Hmm…well that saved the image to Google Photos from my Camera Roll, but it shrunk it down quite a bit. It also required me to have the image on my iPad rather than directly loaded into Google Photos from my laptop.

Well, obviously this is a work in progress. Hopefully this will work out in the long run and I can put together another nice workflow using BlogPress or something else.

So sad about Blogsy.
