Definitely Not Dominion
This weekend the random game mode spun to Definitely Not Dominion in League of Legends. With the latest changes, Zyra was a pretty good champion for this mode and I enjoyed playing her. I went 5-2 with her and the two losses came with AFKs.
I also played a few games with a champ I would like to get to know better – Aurelion Sol. This guy is interesting and I could see him being pretty good once you get to know the play style. I managed to go 2-2 with him but one of my losses was with 2 players on my team who did not know the game mode and chose not to listen to suggestions – they just played it as an ARAM and tried to rack up kills – we lost because while they got kills, the other team scored points and that’s how you win this mode.
Warlock hits 6
Even though I’m not a fan of the Orc starting zone, I do like my Warlock. Apparently, according to Warcraft Realms, Orc Warlocks are the 3rd most popular Horde Warlock. Blood Elf and Forsaken are the most common, but I already have an Undead Priest and was planning on a Blood Elf Paladin.
Similar to Hunters, Warlocks get thier pet at level 1. I’m pretty sure this is how they’ve always been as opposed to the Hunters who used to not get thier pet till level 10. The interesting part of the Orc starting area for Warlocks is that you have a series of quests that have you attacking Imps which is your first demon pet. This culminates in a fight through a cave fighting other demon pets Warlocks get later in level.
But soon you get Corruption which starts the trend of Damage over Time spells that characterize a Warlock. The idea is to DOT a bunch of bad guys then Shadow Blot them down. It worked pretty well for taking on 2-3 guys in the starting area and getting through things went pretty quick.
