Congrats to Rossi!

I really thought Castroneves, Kanaan, or Hunter-Reay would take the checkered flag but it was an unknown rookie to Indy that pulled off the victory.  In the 100th running of the Indianappolis 500, Alexander Rossi, who started in 11th place, won the race.

The first 50 laps semed to take only about 30 minutes but then things started happening rather than going around the track. Then it seemed like the next 50 laps took over an hour to run. Yellow flags started flying as there were spins and runins with the wall.  Aggressiveness caused many incidents on pit road and teammates caused more trouble to each other than provided support.

I enjoyed all the lead changes and it seemed like there was a lot going on through the race. It was fun to watch and even though the guys I wanted to win fell short, I am glad to see that the future of the race seems to be in good hands. It’s good to get a young rookie every once in a while – it keeps the veterans on their toes and makes for much better racing in the long run.
