FSociety Hacks the Con

I know where I’ll be Thursday, July 21st from 6-7pm…At the Mr. Robot panel discussion at San Diego Comic-Con.  Room 6BCF will of course be too small to contain all the rabid fsociety fans, but this is one of the panels I WILL wait in line to see.  Interestingly enough, USA network is presenting the Colony panel immediately before Mr. Robot in the same room so it may be easier to get into the room beforehand.  Colony was a decent enough show, but it seemed a bit too formulaic for my tastes and I wasn’t particularly buying to whole thing.  Perhaps the show will get better in its sophomore season, but I’m probably half a season behind at this point.

Mr Robot

Mr Robot on the other hand…I just rewatched the season and I’m still excited that something like this actually made it to the screen.  While I’m not sure they will be able to top last season, I know they will give it a try…hell, even a season half as good as last year would be better than most of the crap on TV today.  Sadly (for me that is – I don’t really like him), Chris Hardwick will be moderating the panel which should have Rami Malek, Christian Slater, Portia Doubleday, Carly Chaikin, and Grace Gummer from the show.  With the recent expansion of the season from 10 to 12 episodes, you can tell USA has confidence in this show.  And I’d have to say, I think it’s one of the best shows on TV today – right up there with Game of Thrones.

USA also announced they are bringing a new show called Falling Water to the con.  It looks interesting enough…what would things be like if someone could control other people’s dreams…definitely worth a shot.  This one is presented in room 6A at 1:45 on Thursday.
