Morning Ramble 401: Moving on up
Today I pretty much focused on getting to a new city to use as my home base. I found a guild I’m interested in joining but it is located in Fort Sterling…quite a bit away. Fortunately, I could get there without traveling through any dangerous PvP zones. The other option was spending 20,000 to 50,000 Silver to get there by boat.
Here’s the big picture…I’m starting in the bottom left and heading to the top right.
I’m not completely ready to say goodbye to my original home town on Steppe Outpost though. I’ve got too much stuff in the bank to carry everything over on my horse. I’m thinking once I get signed up with the guild, I’ll be able to work on getting an Ox and I can head back to the Steppes and pick the rest of my stuff up. But, here’s my starting point…
One thing I noticed on my travels was that many of the areas I galloped through seemed to have many more resources near the roads. It was also good to see all the people out and about this morning – the game is definitely alive and well.
In any case, here’s the general area around Fort Sterling.
Yeah, it turned from daytime into night on my trip, but only once. I think the whole thing took over 30 minutes but I did stop a few times to get my bearings and look at some of the sites. For now though, I’m gonna set up in Fort Sterling, get a personal island, and start working with a guild.
