Cabbages, Walls, and a Rainbow Bridge

Daily Ramble 33: Cabbages, Walls, and a Rainbow Bridge

My regular ramble into Albion these days has been focused on farming and today that focus fell upon cabbage farming. In SMITE, I am getting ever closer to ranked play with another god mastered…I’ll pick another new one to work on tomorrow, but perhaps I should look into Thor or Odin who figure prominently in my latest comic reading.

Focusing on Farming

Right now in Albion I’m trying to organize my farms to optimize income. The cabbage market is pretty expensive right now and I’m trying to offset some of my expenses by farming them myself. It’s difficult though since not only do I need veggies to feed my Goose production but they’re also ingredients for omelette cooking. Im hoping that using focus will soon get me better production.

A New Mastery

Even though I haven’t really figured out how to use all his abilities, I never-the-less attained mastery of Ymir today. I still ended up trapping a couple of my teammates with my wall and I don’t think I’ve hit anyone with my ultimate yet, but I’ve won enough games thanks to teammates that I managed to master the god so I can move on to my next project.

Journey Into Mystery #89: The Thunder God and the Thug!

Journey Into Mystery #89: The Thunder God and the Thug! by Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, L.D. Lieber, Dick Ayers, and Ray Holloway. Published by Marvel Comics, 1963.
Thor takes on Thug Thatcher

Thug Thatcher escapes from police custody before they can get him to the prison. In the escape, his gang attacks the police right in front of Dr. Blake’s office and the police were able to shoot Thug before they get away. So…some of Thug’s goons kidnap Dr. Blake to “fix up” their boss.

The Doc does some work on Thug and bandages him up but then the bad guys want to do away with him because he know too much. Separated from his cane, Dr. Blake calls out to Odin across the Rainbow Bridge for help, and The All-Father sends a force wave that Dr. Blake emits knocking back the minions and allowing the doctor to get to his cane. Thor then takes care of the minions and goes after the boss who went back to Dr. Blake’s office and was threatening Nurse Jane. Once Thor gets Jane to safety he confronts and defeats Thug as he falls from one of his own poorly constructed buildings.

Annoyances – they retold the Thor origin story again for the umpteenth time in so few issues.

What I learned:
* Dr. Blake can contact Odin across the Rainbow bridge even when he’s not transformed into Thor.
* Odin can perform actions on Earth from Midgard.
* Kicking the Hammer results in it returning to Thor just as if he threw it.
* Odin can erase people’s memories – even from across the Rainbow Bridge
