Some Baseball and Some Comics on a Busy Work Day

Work has really been crazy lately but I was able to flip on the Angel game today and at least listen to it while I was working. I also got a chance to read the latest Wolverine issue while I was on a walk break during the day. Things have been so crazy, this was my first walk break of the week but I’m glad I got a little reading in.

Wolverine is Back!

The latest Wolverine #1 comic seems to be the start of a new direction in the latest X-Men/Krakoa world. Wolverine actually takes part in 2 different story lines and they are both pretty enjoyable. The 2 stories have plenty of bad guys – Omega Red, Vampires, Dracula, and some Pale Girl. There’s also plenty of Wolverine to go around. I’m glad to see he’s back even though I enjoyed Laura Kinney and Honey Badger covering for him. I hope they get their own title as well so we can read about their continuing adventures.

Padres and Angels

San Diego and my team played their first game against each other of the Spring this afternoon. The game ended in a 1-0 pitching duel but it was fun to watch.

Both teams played well and I was able to have it on while focusing on trying to get some coding done at work. While my team didn’t win, Trout, Rendon, and Pujols each picked up a hit but they’re gonna have to score some runs with the pitching they’ve got.

It’s only Spring Training but I’m excited to see this offense of the Angels in action. I’m just sad I won’t be able to make it out to Arizona for any of the games.

It’s a Wrap

Spring Training and extended claws made the craziness at work bearable today. The Angels ended the day a game under .500 but I think Wolverine makes up for it since he kicked off 2 storylines and they both look like they’ll be fun.
