Marvel Unlimited New Weekly Releases 26 October, 2020

Marvel releases comics to the Unlimited platform about 6 months after they come out in floppy format but due to COVID-19 I had no idea what we were gonna get. This week we seem to have issues from July and there are some good ones in here, particularly in the Empyre storyline.

In any case, here’s the new stuff I’ve found this week:

Top Releases of the Week

Another 11 new comics released today (last week had 19).  Anyway, looking at Comic Book Roundup which aggregates a bunch of review sites, here are the top issues from this batch of comics. This week I found 5 issues that come pretty close to my criteria.

  • Daredevil #21
by Chip Zdarsky and Marco Checchetto.
    Published by Marvel Comics, 2020.
BACK IN RED!  “TRUTH/DARE” STARTS HERE! THE BATTLE MAY BE OVER, but the WAR is far from finished! After the shocking events of DAREDEVIL #20, CHIP ZDARSKY reunites with MARCO CHECCHETTO to begin the next chapter of their definitive DAREDEVIL saga: HELL AND BACK. For weeks, Hell’s Kitchen has been a lawless neighborhood thanks to the Stromwyn siblings, but as the police are finally able to resume their patrols, they’re quick to find that they aren’t the only ones interested in keeping the Kitchen safe.
Meanwhile, as Matt Murdock continues to struggle with how best to appease his sense of justice after the events of the past several weeks, a familiar enemy takes root in Hell’s Kitchen…
  • Empyre: X-Men #1
by Jonathan Hickman, Timi Howard, and Matteo Buffagni.
    Published by Marvel Comics, 2020.
Plant people from outer space have come to Earth and, wouldn’t you know it, they just happen to be here when millions of mutants rise as undead creatures hungry for human flesh. The X-Men return to Genosha in a tale so crazy, it’s taking the entire writing crew of the X-Men line to tackle it!
  • X-Men/Fantastic Four #4
by Chip Zdarsky and Terry Dodson.
    Published by Marvel Comics, 2020.
The exciting finale! On an island of doom, the X-Men and Fantastic Four fight to save the future! Lines will be drawn in the sand and enemies will be made, upending the Marvel Universe!
  • Wolverine #3
by Ben Percy and Adam Kubert.
    Published by Marvel Comics, 2020.
WOLVERINE DIGS IN! The Flower Cartel and the Pale Girl seem to be one step ahead of Wolverine, but he has a plan. It’s a risky gamble that will take him into the heart of a larger criminal conspiracy even as it puts many mutant lives at risk.
  • Hellions #2
by Zeb Wells and Stephen Segovia.
    Published by Marvel Comics, 2020.
THE DOMINANT SPECIES? The Hellions can barely keep from killing one another, let alone find a way to fit into Krakoan society. Of course, that might be just what Mister Sinister is counting on when he sends them to clean up his messes.
