March Mammal Madness Bracket: Tricksy Taxonomy

The brackets were released on Friday for the March Mammal Madness 2021 and I’m pretty excited to see who’s in this year’s tournament.

Here’s a quick look at the Tricksy Taxonomy bracket with the Dugong as the top seed. Honestly, I had to look up what a Dugong was since I had no idea what one was. It turns out it is a marine mammal similar to and in the same order as manatees. I’ll have to take a more in depth look to make my selections on who I think will win, but I just had to throw out this initial look to get things rolling.

There’s no wildcard battle for this bracket so the first round matchups are all set…

  • 1) Dugong
  • 16) Colo Colo Opossum
  • 8) Musk Deer
  • 9) Aoudad
  • 5) Kinda Baboon
  • 12) Egyptian Fruit Bat
  • 4) Malagasy Striped Civit
  • 13) Solenodon
  • 6) Jaguarundi
  • 11) Amani Rabbit
  • 3) Mountain Tapir
  • 14) Common Treeshrew
  • 7) Tarsier
  • 10) Mara
  • 2) Red Wolf
  • 15) Giant Golden Mole
