The Dodgers have no Heart

Today, things were a bit downbeat compared to the past few days. Sadly, my Angels dropped a game to the Cheaters but I’m still pretty upbeat about how well they’re doing this season. Also in my reading things kept going at a quick pace as someone sent a misguided care package to Myfanwy. I suppose the downbeat was more of my being tired after my run today so I took the day easy.

A Human Heart

With traitors and people in fish tanks why wouldn’t we expect someone to send Myfanwy a human heart in the mail? Things are getting pretty weird for her and the Checquy and when the leader of the Grafters indicates he’s ready and willing to go after Thomas’ sister, she loses it. But even swapping insults with the Belgian won’t stop him from unleashing an attack in Reading.

Splitting with the Cheaters

The Astros have been on a roll to start the season. Thy swept the A’s in 4 games and after losing the first to my Angels, they split the short series. 5 and 1 with 45 runs scored – not to shabby. Certainly, I hope they fall off, and I’m sure they will but at least my Angels gave them their first loss of the year.

They didn’t take this game easily though as the Angels jumped out to a 2 run lead in the first on a home run by mike Trout. That was all the team would score though as Houston went on to score 2 in the 2nd and then topped it off with 2 in the ninth. Home runes by Tucker, Diaz, and Correa were the bane of Los Angeles, but even with the loss, I felt pretty good about my team.

1–1 against the leaders of the AL West makes me feel pretty good. Someday soon though, my Angels will be standing atop the division looking down on these cheaters.

Left Coast, Day 6

In other Left Coast games, Darvish and Caratini got the job done in San Diego as they took down the Giants 3 to 1. Texas held off the Blue Jays at home to win 7 to 4. Arizona and the Rockies had a slugfest with Ryan McMahon smashing 3 home runs in a losing effort as the D-Backs managed to pull off a startling come from behind victory in the 13th downing the Rockies 10 to 8. Oakland continued struggling as they lost to the Dodgers 5 to 1, and Seattle lost not only the game but saw James Paxton leave after only 4 outs which is not a good sign for their rotation. The lost to Chicago 10 to 4.

It’s a Wrap

Wow! The Dodgers are really playing well this season and even though my Angels and the Padres are doing well too, the Dodgers are really playing like they are in a league of their own. I know they’ll come down to earth at some point but they sure look good to repeat as World Champs again.
