Taking a Step Back

I’ve been doing pretty well in my running routine, increasing my time and distance each week for a number of weeks, but this week I decided to take things down a step. 



I didn’t sleep too well last night so I decided I wouldn’t push myself too hard today.  

My splits clearly show I started out well but petered out pretty quickly so I figured cutting things short would be fine today. 


I also was distinctly higher in my HR Zones so you can see I was not at top performance. 

In any case, I still ran over 5 miles and was due for a break.  Next week I’ll see about pushing up to double digits, but with holiday parties coming up, I may keep things mellow for a few weeks.
