20 Days to #SDCC2018

While this isn’t necessarily a topic unique to Comic-Con I am certainly hoping that there will be information and a panel available at the convention.

DC Universe

This looks really cool and while I’m not jumping for joy on having to pay for another streaming service, I am excited to see what they are offering and for how much. If this follows along the same lines as NetFlix or Marvel Unlimited, I would expect something around $9.99 a month. But I could also see them being bit greedy considering it’s taken them so long to get on board.

My main desire for this, although being able to see all the animation will be cool, is that they include a bunch of digital comics. I think I’d pass on the cost if there were no comics to read. I’d love to see the backlog of DC comics opened for perusal just like Marvel Unlimited has done. Going back to the dawn of DC to read Batman and Superman would be really cool and I think they’d be very competitive with a package that included digital comics and the shows. Without one or the other, they’d just be another money grabbing streaming service that offers little of value.

Perhaps if they offer both video and comics they’d push Marvel into doing the same.

In any case, I’m thinking there might be some info about this whole thing at Comic-Con.
