12 Strike Outs and a Home Run

Game 2 is in the books for the defending champions and once again they had things working on the mound and at the plate. Gerrit Cole may have give up a run on a 3rd inning HR to Francisco Lindor but that was all Cleveland got from the Astros. He pitched 7 innings with only that one blemish and put together 12 strike outs.

Meanwhile, Marwin Gonzalez went 4 for 4 with a 2-run double that put the Astros ahead in the 6th and they never looked back. Alex Bregman added an insurance run in the 7th with a home run but the6 didn’t really need it with how well the team was firing on the mound.

In the other game, New York tied up their series with Boston with a 6–2 victory.
