Daily Ramble 60: Civ VI is Releasing Expansion #2

I’m pretty excited to see that Civilization 6 is continuing to grow. They’ve grown their player base with installations for iOS and Switch and now they’re releasing they’re seconds expansion. I’m certainly looking forward to it and I’m gonna try to get more games in before the February release so I’m ready.

Anyway, here’s the trailer for the expansion – Gathering Storm.

And here’s the discussion with developers going over a bunch of the new features…natural disasters, electricity, diminishing resources, new leaders, new civilizations, new eras, a world congress, and a diplomatic victory condition…it looks like a full featured update to a great game.

  1. Hm. I didn’t really like the 1st Civ6 expansion, and all I could think as I watched them touting all their new features was “this is going to be micromanagement hell.”

    I think I’ll probably be giving this one a pass.
