Angels Drop Two, but I Pick up a Westworld

Actually, I rewatched the first episode of Westworld season 1 in hopes that I’ll be able to get through the first couple of seasons before the new season starts up. While reliving the incredible joy in seeing that show again, I sadly suffered some of the ‘agony of defeat’ as my Angels team lost two games today.

Into Westworld Again!

I took a look back at where I’ve been on BTG over the years and realized that this is at least the third time I’m rewatching Westworld. At least the first season. I really enjoy this show and have no problem trying to look deeper into the story every time I replay it.

Today I fired up the first season premiere episode and was immediately captivated by the beautiful music, the cinematography, the story, and the concepts.

I’m gonna try to get through the first two seasons before the third season premiere on March 15th, but we’ll see how far I get. I am used to making these types of plans and having them fall through for some reason, but this show is so good and riveting I might make it through again.

First Home Run

The Angels played two games today, but neither went too well. In the first, they fell 3-6 against the Colorado Rockies. Jo Adell’s performance in this game may point to the need for a bit more seasoning in the minors since he struck out twice.

The second game was at Tempe Diablo Stadium and saw the Angels take on the White Sox. The Angels got out to a nice lead with Anthony Rendon hitting his first home run of the Spring. It was a 3-run shot that gave the team plenty of breathing room. The first two pitchers, Patrick Sandoval and reliever Noe Ramirez, took the lead and shut down the Sox for the first three innings, but Chicago scored 8 in the 4th to take an 8–6 lead. That was all they needed.

Hopefully, these high scoring games where Angels pitching gives up just a few too many more than the offense scores are not the norm this season. Regardless, it was a fun game to listen to.

It’s a Wrap

Since it’s Spring Training, I feel like rewatching the Westworld season 1 premiere makes up for the fact that the Angels lost their two games today. I’m hoping they don’t drop two often or even back-to-back games in the regular season much, but in Spring, it’s ok.

In any case, there’s always tomorrow and another episode of Westworld to watch.
