A Little Running and a Little Comics

While yesterday was a holiday, that meant today was a busy day and I didn’t have time to do much other than my run and read a comic. I’m actually trying to get ready for fantasy baseball which is always a lot of work and this year will be even more interesting since it’s a short season. But I’ll cover that another time as today I’m just gonna cover my comic and running.

A Quick Running Update

I’m running a bit late today so to speak but I wanted to at least file an update about my running.

I’ve kept my streak going and have been enjoying my daily runs. Things are starting to heat up, even in the morning, but I’ve been able to get my mileage in. I’ve been trying to get out on my runs earlier so it’s cooler but getting up earlier doesn’t always work.

Perhaps next week I’ll get back to talking about my gear but I was too busy this week to do any research on things, and hopefully I’ll have kept my streak going then as well.

How Many Hammers to Stop a Bomb?

Thor: God of Thunder #11
God Bomb: Part Five of Five – The Last Prayer
By Jason Aaron and Esad Ribic.

The godbomb is triggered!

Every god that has ever been and ever will be is now dying and even the mighty Thor is reduced to simply beating on the bomb with a couple of hammers.

Of course those hammers are Mjolnir so they might make a difference but it turns out that the difference is Thor himself.

As every god throughout time prays to the God of Thunder to save them, somehow Thor is able to absorb the full force of the godbomb and steal the power of the Necrosword. Without his weapon, the God Butcher is powerless and so is his bomb.

But victory has it’s price. Thor the Avenger gave his life to save the lives of countless gods throughout space and time. What could be the ramifications of this death and how will Thor recover?

I’m not sure but that was a great finish to a cool story. I can’t wait to see where things go from here.

It’s a Wrap

So the Thors were victorious and I kept my running streak intact. Not to much other than that for a wrap up but I am looking forward to running again this week since it’s nice to get outside even in these times of social distancing and working from home. And while my running is good for me physically, I’m glad for my comic book reading to keep my mind occupied and my imagination roaming. Now I just gotta get some game time in.
