The Sheriff’s Station Has Seen Better Days

I have to say that there is a common theme running through the stories I’ve been reading and watching these days.

Too much horror and each of them seem to have police or sheriffs that are hard pressed to keep the peace, protect the innocents, and bring the evil doers to justice.

Sure, there aren’t always people to bring to justice but in The Mothman Prophecies, Something is Killing the Children, and Secret World Legends the monsters are not always easy to catch. And certainly not by the civil authorities.
