Rocketing Around The Raft

I continued my progress with Rocket Raccoon to level 3 and while this took a bit longer than the quick jump to level 2, I did start to get a better feel for how he plays.

The Raft

The first few levels in Marvel Heroes 2015 are typically earned while running around The Raft. Apparently there was a jail break and a bunch of super powered villains get free. Your first job is to get to the island and restore order. This isn't much of an issue since Rocket has plenty of abilities that help him tackle bad guys. Actually, at this level, you could probably get by with only your Groot buddy summoned and running around as a tank for you.

He starts out doing over 3800 damage and has a 70% damage reduction. I actually have not seen him fall in battle, though I figure as the game progresses the bad guys will hit pretty hard.

Along with him, Rocket gets a combat shield to provide protection – with these two abilities, I had no problem moving through The Raft and subduing the freed prisoners. These also give the raccoon staying power where I had difficulties with Human Torch and actually died.

While I've only attained level 3, Rocket is fun and has enough survivability for a noob like me.
