Goodbye 2022, Hello 2023!

I suppose it is with a sense of relief that I see 2022 in the rearview mirror, as I am not very sad to see it go. Lots of chaos in a year can undoubtedly encourage a leap into the new, and I am looking forward to making 2023 a much better one.

Hopefully, you all had a better 2022 than I did while still having a lot to look toward in 2023.

Things started well in January and seemed to go pretty well for the first third of the year. March Mammal Madness was fun, Spring Training was exciting to watch, and I thought the year was gonna be a turnaround from 2021 and all the craziness of the pandemic, but things did not continue trending up. My Angels laid down a 14-game losing streak…my gaming tournament bogged down…even my Blaugust participation was not immune to the gravity of 2022. I ended up having, in my opinion, lows in quite a few areas of my life, coupled with a pretty weak year of blogging, gaming, and reading, and I am ready to turn things around in 2023.

With the company I work for being purchased in November, the chaos in 2022 ramped up even more, and the certainty of everyday things took a hit.

But I am optimistic.

I plan to work hard to make 2023 start on a good note and then keep pushing to ensure a good year. With determination, dedication, and the Will of God, 2023 will be a better year than the last. I can get many things in my life that fell backward in 2022, including my blogging, reading, and gaming, to turn around and become positive aspects of who I am once again.

Let’s get 2023 going!
