Tim Strains Alone

Fridays are becoming a pretty busy day for me and Thursdays too, so I’m reassessing doing my six degrees post on another day. This week, again, I’m gonna move it to another day.

Alone

22 days in and there are still 5 people left in the second season of Alone. This seems to be quite a bit different than last season and I suppose that makes sense – these guys have watched a season already and know better what to expect. That didn’t stop people from making some of the same mistakes as the first season, but it seems these people are a bit tougher and a bit dumber.

We’ve had a couple boats built and everyone seems to be using nets this season where last year one of the last people left was still trying to knock mice on the head with rocks. People have built elaborate shelters this season, but then leave in the next episode – so strange this season. Others try to chop off thier hand or drop their fire starter in the fire…a lot of inconsistencies.

And people I think will last a long time end up leaving a lot sooner than I expect.

It’s been a fun watch once again and it’ll be interesting to see who ends up lasting the longest. Will they stick it out longer than last season?

The Strain is on again?

Wow, I’m pretty surprised that The Strain got a second season. I watched the first 5 or so episodes and just couldn’t keep going. There were just too many issues with the acting and the story just started falling apart for me. If anyone watched the whole first season, do you think it’s worth finishing it off?

Tim Lincecum

Tomorrow will be the debut of Tim Lincecum for the Angels and I’m looking forward to watching him. At 29–38, I doubt he’ll turn my team into a contender, but I’m hoping he might help them become a .500 team.

  1. I enjoyed the strain, and actually it’s going into its 3rd season. It’s really good imo though there are some slower points. I’d keep recommend finishing it.

    • Wow – 3rd season. I must have lost one somewhere. Do you know if it’s on Netflix or Hulu or something for catching up?
