Computer Darkness

Daily Ramble 56: Computer Darkness

Today was a day for computer issues. I was unable to establish my normal connections between my iPad and my computer and it caused a bunch of headaches. So while I was unable to work with any images I had, I was able to direct my attention elsewhere and it landed on comics. But more on that in a minute…

Dark Universe

The one image I was able to work with was the one that pretends trouble in the Destiny 2 Universe. It seems when I killed Ghaul and the Traveller resestsblished the Light, it sent out a shockwave that could be felt throughout the universe. This was really cool and great to be bathed in the Light again, but I have a feeling some people we might not like also felt the shockwave.

These guys seem to have seem the Light and since they seem to like darkness, they might not be too happy that we Guardians kicked some butt.

Modern Marvels

I’ve got the 1963 Marvel Reading I’m doing and my DC Rebirth Reading but I wanted to get more into modern Marvel as I realize that things are quite different now than 50 years ago -even in comic book worlds. So I think I’m gonna start looking at something since 2010 and I landed on something tied into the current timeline.

Apparently the latest in Marvel is called Legacy but I certainly don’t want to start on top of the current timeline since I’ll have tons of questions, so I took a few steps back. So before the current events there was Marvel Now 2.0, All-New All-Different, Secret War, and then Marvel Now. I found a fat track guide to Marvel Now over at Comic Book Herald so I’m gonna take just a small step even further back to get my bearings…Avengers vs. X-Men will be my starting point. This looks like it should be a fun read with some nice big battles between heroes I’ve watched on tv and in movies.

So I’ll be adding these comics to my other rotations starting with Wolverine and the X-Men #1 and I’ve already seen some writers I’m looking forward to reading.
