Cassie Strikes Again

Daily Ramble 66: Cassie Strikes Again

I feel like I accomplished a bunch of stuff last week and I’m looking forward to this upcoming week. Sure things ended up with me NOT getting Comic-Con tickets during the Pre-Registration but this week includes Halloween and I know I’ve got the DC Rebirth opening issue to get started with. I also resurrected a couple of blog sections that I enjoyed previously and am looking forward to keeping up…Views from Beyond the Gate and Tannhauser Traveller. I’m feeling pretty good right now about putting together image posts on a regular basis since there’s so much to see in the various games I’m playing. So for today I ventured into Secret World Legends, Destiny 2 on the PC and I reloaded Guild Wars 2 since I found something called an MMO Book Club that was playing it. I don’t have much to talk about other than the fact that I am making some good progress in SWL and am starting to get used to the mouse and keyboard in Destiny.

Cassandra Again

I ran into Cassandra King and ended up in the maintenance tunnel with her again.

This time she was part of a mission handed out by the Morninglight hippie camp run by Che Garcia Hanson. Apparently she hangs out with them and runs errands but Che didn’t want her to venture into the tunnels alone so he sent me to help her out. Interestingly enough, once we got inside and to the package we were supposed to pick up, she turned on me. She didn’t attack per se, but she did stun me and take off with the goods.

I’m not sure what that was all about but I’m sure I’ll have another run in with her sometime and I’ll be ready.

Same Ole

So far, Destiny is the same as what I ran through on the PS4.

The only difference being that I get to shoot my Golden Gun every once in a while. I definitely prefer that as a starting ultimate compared to the Warlock. 3 bit powerful rounds can pretty much take down any boss or at least put a significant dent in his HP.

MMO Book Club

Yesterday was one of those evenings where I actually had some time and motivation to go through RSS feeds. More than clearing them out, I ended up reading through a bunch of posts from blogs I haven’t paid much attention to in quite a while. It was really nice to see that so many of the Newbie Bloggers or their supporters are still out there blogging away.

One thing that I ran across as I was going through various posts was something that’s being called MMO Book Club. So I decided to look it up. From what I was able to find the MMO Book Club is a group of bloggers/gamers who have decided to venture around the gameosphere playing different MMO‘s for three months at a time. It’s a pretty cool concept because three months will give you a lot of time to get familiar with the game and even get to end game if you’re a normal player. For me, well I probably will get halfway through a game, maybe in three months, but at least with the motivation of having others that I’m playing with I might be able to make end game on some of these MMOs.

In any case they have a Discord server and a Reddit that I was able to find some information about where they’re currently playing. They’ve currently gone through a few MMO’s already but right now they’re going to continue playing Guild Wars 2 for another month. So I’m figuring that will be the month of November. Since I just found out about this club I’ll give it a shot without any expectations. I certainly won’t get to end game content by the end of the month but I can start participating in the club and getting to know who else is involved and how they run things. In any case it sounds like it could be a lot of fun.

With that in mind I loaded guild wars to back up on my computer and got ready to head out.
