More Conmection Issues and a Possible Solution

Hmm…I am resigned to the recognition that I am not going to make it to level 25 before the season is over in Overwatch. The main issue being that I kept having connection issues all weekend.

But I think I finally may have found a solution…I plugged in an Ethernet cable into my computer and things seem to working.  Which doesn’t make much sense to me.  My wireless network works for everything else I’ve played. I’ve never had any latency issues using it and I’ve played tons of hours of online games without any issues. But for some reason it seems Overwatch doesn’t like it because when I plug in the wired connection, the game works fine.

My resignation though stems from the time it took to get things working. Basically all my gaming time went to troubleshooting this weekend and though I got things working finally, I did not get nearly as far as I wanted to in my leveling journey.

I made it to level 15.

Which is not bad for a game I just started playing, but I’m not gonna get to 25 by the end of the season. Oh well.  It was a nice try and I’m gonna keep playing, I’m just not going to be so singleminded about it.

I think the bottom line is that if you’re having connection issues in Overwatch, try a wired connection. And if you’re gonna try to reach level 25 in 5 days, troubleshoot faster.
