Taking a Look at the Red Dead Redemption 2 Trailer 3

I loved Red Dead Redemption on my XBox 360. It was one of the main games my buddies and I would get together Thursday nights to play and we loved shooting up places and just trotting along on our horses. Sure, it was the 360 so the graphics are not what they are today, but the gameplay was terrific, the story was cool, and the overall atmosphere was wonderful.

Jump forward 8 years and I’m anticipating Red Dead Redemption 2 and while Rockstar Games delayed the release to October, I know they only did that because they want things to work properly outta the box. I certainly hope that’s the case because there’s a lot of people ready to jump into the Old West right before Halloween.

To wet our appetites, Rockstar released the 3rd trailer of the game the other day and it promises some fun times ahead…

Based on this, it looks like we’re going back in time to 1899 when John Marston, the protagonist of the original Red Dead Redemption, was a member of the van der Linde gang. And based on other reports, we’ll be playing as Arthur Morgan who’s also a member of the gang.

As a prequel, we know the long term story of what happens and how Dutch van der Linde meets his fate, but I think it’ll be fun to see how things went down leading up to the start of the original game. And considering Westworld is such a big thing these days I can only imagine Rockstar’s gonna have a hit on their hands.
