Daily Ramble 1: Blogging into Blaugust 2018
It’s almost here and I’m pretty excited to see the crowd of friends that have gathered for this year’s Blaugust. New and returning, young and not so young, everyone that’s signed up, wether they post a single blurb during the month or babble like I do every day, it’s an accomplishment just to venture into the blogosphere. And of course I want to throw out a big THANK YOU to Belghast over at [Tales of the Aggronaut](https://aggronaut.com) for organizing us once again into this crazy Blaugust event.
So far, as of today, I see there are 69 participants in Blaugust and I expect that as the month starts up and moves on, there’ll be people joining in as they realize what we’re doing.
But Blaugust is not just about August, what I like about this year is that not only are we working to make August a month that celebrates blogging but we’re also using the event to encourage new bloggers to enter into the community.
For me, I entered the blogosphere in 2012 with the Newbie Blogger Initiative and that is the ‘other’ event that we’re celebrating this Blaugust. Over the years, the NBI saw the creation of many of the blogs that are participating in Blaugust this year. It’s good to see fellow NBI alumni and even some of the mentors that guided me through my first steps in creating this blog.
I’m certainly hoping that the new bloggers that have shown up for Blaugust this year and those veterans who’ve been around the block all enjoy Blaugust this year or as we’re calling it…Blaugust Reborn.
