How Hard to Kill the Monster?

First Look Review Of Red Hood: The Lost Days #2

Lost Days Part Two: Baptism by Judd Winick, Pablo Raimondi, and Cliff Richards. Published by DC Comics, 2010.

The first issue ended with Jason Todd getting thrown into the Lazarus Pit with Talia Al Ghul hoping that would bring him closer to a semblance of the person he once was. Needless to say, her dad wasn’t too happy with that situation and it didn’t seem to do much good.

But here we start to see that Jason remembers one thing at least…that the Joker killed him and that Batman let the murderer live. That doesn’t seem to bode well for either of them as the resurrected Todd wants to see them both dead.

He heads to Gotham and starts with a plan to take out the Bat…and he’s got some insider information.

The story is a good one and between the narration and the beautiful art, I can feel Jason’s anger and hatred toward his former mentor. Just the simple question…

Gets to the heart of the issue. It’s this and many other emotionally driven though bubbles that pull me into liking Jason and kinda hoping he gets his revenge.

I give this issue a First Look Rating of a A- and I’m definitely gonna read the rest of this story to find out how things evolve.

This comic can be found on DC Universe, Comixology or at your local comic book shop.
