Saving the Tholians

Star Trek: Year Five #1 by Collin Kelly, Jackson Lansing, and Stephen Thompson. Published by IDW, 2019.

We pick up the adventures of the Enterprise and her crew four years into their five year mission and in typical fashion interesting things follow this ship around. Kirk and company are performing some dangerous scientific experiments around a star that’s about to blow up when they pick up a distress signal. Apparently a Tholian world that was thought to be uninhabited is under attack and the Enterprise must race to the planet. With Spock, McCoy, Sulu, Chekov, Uhura, and Scotty we’ve got the whole gang on board to try to help one of my favorite races in the Star Trek Universe, as well as a mystery to figure out who’s behind the attacks. I enjoyed the Read and am looking forward to seeing where this title is headed.
