Reading From Week 23 Of 2019

This week, I got through 2 of the graphic novels I’ve been meaning to read. Both turned out really good but in had very different tones. Godzilla was really cool in a nostalgic manner and I was happy to see the King of Monsters still getting loved after all these years. The Boys on the other hand shined a spotlight on a dark side of the superhero business and one that doesn’t get talked about much in comics by the big two – it’s making me think I want to give Watchmen another read since it’s been so long.

As usual though, I bit off more in my Pull List from last week than I could chew. I picked out 23 single issues and the TMNT graphic novel (so about 29 issues) and only managed to get through 2 graphic novels and a handful of single issues (about 17 issues). Adding 12 issues into my backlog was not my plan but it seems to happen more weeks than not.

I’m working on it though.

Well, as I’m working on getting through my backlog I’m also fighting my internet today. I had a list of my readings destroyed twice and those ones had publishers, creators, and descriptions. This time around I only have time to throw together titles and maybe a bit more if I update the post later…

  • Cave Carson Has A Cybernetic Eye #1
  • Thor #160
  • The Boys volume 1
  • Angel #1
  • West Coast Avengers #2
  • Rick and Morty #50
  • Justice League: No Justice #3
  • Godzilla: Half Century War

Hopefully I can figure out my internet problems here at work so I can get my iPad back online while I’m away from home. It seems to just happen when I’m at work but I’m supposed to have a cellular connection. Oh well.

These comics can be found on Marvel Unlimited, DC Universe, Comixology or at your local comic book shop.
