Marvel Unlimited New Weekly Releases July 29, 2019
Marvel releases comics to the Unlimited platform about 6 months after they come out in floppy format so this week we are seeing comics from January, 2019. In an effort to try to read some more “modern” issues, I’ve been tracking what’s currently being released and trying to catch up from recent number ones…we’ll see how that goes.

13 new comics released today (last week had 15). Anyway, looking at Comic Book Roundup which aggregates a bunch of review sites, here are the top issues from this batch of comics.

Comics Corner | Marvel Unlimited New Weekly Releases July 29, 2019
My discovery of Comixology has got me on the verge of buying an Unlimited subscription. I’ve never really read many comics, but I have to say the medium intrigues me. I do have an iPad I can read on, however I traditionally read books. Still on the fence!!
Comixology Unlimited is pretty good and give you a variety of selections but I’ve found that many times their goal is to encourage purchasing. Basically they’ll list the first volume or 6 issues of a comic in their unlimited offering and then the rest of the 12 volume series you’ll have to buy. It’s good for getting introduced to a bunch of different comics, writers, and artists but less good for reading full runs of comics.
Marvel Unlimited and DC Universe are also monthly services for comics based on Marvel and DC accordingly. These tend to offer most of the publishers comics up to those published 6 months or a year ago. You can get full runs of comic volumes in either of these but then you’re locked in to the particular publisher.
I’ll have to throw together a post about the differences sometime before I ramble too much in a comment 🙂
