Classic Aion and a Sweep

As things are getting back to a bit of normality in my life I’m trying to get back into regular rambling. I figure I can play a game, read some comics, watch some TV, or watch my Angels play and that’d give me something to babble about again and since I really want Covid to be in the rear view mirror, I’m gonna try to get this aspect of my life back to where I want it to be.

So here we go with day 2 of my rambling.

Things Were Done

With the holiday behind us and my workplace back to a somewhat pre-Covid ‘normal’, I headed back into the office today. I did however, have a bit of time to get into a game and I suppose I’m a bit surprised at what I decided to play…Aion.

I enjoyed Aion when it originally came to the West and had fun with the flight idea and the way the things were headed in the game. Like most, I shelved it after around 20–25 levels, though. I actually did not even know it was still around until about two weeks ago when I heard they were deploying a Classic server. This is what I found myself jumping into this morning to see what it was all about and I was pleased. Of course I didn’t get very far with about half an hour of effort but what I did experience, I enjoyed. In any case I’m looking forward to giving it a chance and seeing how long it sticks with me.

Along with Aion, I had a good time taking a look at my Angels’ weekend results. While the Red Sox are currently leading my team this evening, I’m happy to see that the Angels swept Baltimore this weekend with some really exciting games. Shohei Ohtani smacked 3 home runs in the 3 games and both he and Mike Trout were named as All Star starters and Jared Walsh was added to the team as a backup. It was a good weekend of baseball…now if only the Angels can come back against Boston.
