ArcheAge Scored a Perfect 85

It may not have been a 95 or a 100, but ArcheAge scored the first perfect RNG roll of the tournament, The Witcher 3 started working its magic against Champions Online, and Guild Wars completed its incredible comeback.

Around the Tournamemt

  • Guild Wars 2 Wins!

I was really worried GW2 would not have what it takes to come back from rolling a ONE.  At the half, they were down 48 to 41, and I had to seriously wonder if they could make up those 7 points in the second half.  They did by scoring 55 points in the final 2 quarters, stomping Legends of Aria 96 to 93.  The RNG gods may have had some fun here, but GW2 showed they are a game to be reconned with.

  • ArcheAge scores 29!

ArcheAge rolled the highest roll they could get in this quarter and almost scored a perfect 30.  If only they had a higher steam rating or population.  With the 29 points in the 3rd-quarter, AA leads Terraria – who I thought was a pretty good game and had favored – by a score of 81 to 67.  I’m not sure Terraria can come back from this deficit, but we’ll see tomorrow.

  • The Witcher Starts a Comeback

The Witcher rolled up a 24 for the day, but while that’s fairly low considering they had a target of 95, it was still enough to gain a point on Champions Online.  Champions rolled a 6 and only managed to hold on to their lead by their fingernails.  Champions leads this battle 47 to 44, with The Witcher coming on strong.

Wrapping it Up

Momentum seems to drive these matchups quite a bit as we saw Guild Wars come from a huge deficit, and now we see The Witcher making its way back from a slow first quarter.  In any case, GW2 moves on to the second round.

Next up, I think Terraria may have a sad fate on its hands as they are down by 14 heading into their final quarter.
