Blaugust 2022 Day 3

The first set of blogs I looked at for Blaugust this year…the first 5 that were listed by Belghast on his listing…were all new to me.

I’ve gotta get adding new items to my blog roll.

Anyway, with 5 outta 5 new (to me) blogs, I am jumping with joy to see that there are so many new people who want to throw in with the Blogosphere.

And we keep hearing about how written blogs are dying. I disagree and actually prefer written blogs to videos or podcasts for many things. I think each has a place in a well-rounded media but I am glad to see so many fresh sites joining in this year.

I also love the diversity of sites joining up this time around. Sure, it looks like a lot of new people are gamers, but even in these 5 blogs, there are books being covered, Manga, games, and more.

Sadly, I was unable to access Ace Asunder and will try to get back into the site another time, but if Solarayo is reading this, check your DNS server to make sure things are set up for your blog properly so we can all read your posts.

[UPDATE] I was able to get to Ace Asunder shortly after I posted this, so it looks like Solarayo got things worked out.

Flash33 over at A Day in the Life of Flash puts forth some great motivation for giving Among Us a try. It’s not a game I have played before but Flash makes it seem approachable and enjoyable no matter if you are the Imposter or part of the Crew.

Crimson over at A Nerdy Fujo Cries goes to a Jujutsu Kaisen exhibit, and it sounds totally cool and makes me sad I didn’t go to Comic-Con again this year. While I can only imagine what something like this would look like here in the States, it was great seeing some of the scenes from the Manga depicted by Crimson.

Michelle over at A Geek Girls Guide has been around for 7 years and has finally dipped her toe into the Blaugust water. I’m happy to see her here and look forward to reading what she has to say. From the look of another of her posts, I will be frequenting her blog a lot since she talks about K-Pop, but I can tell she knows a lot more about the music genre than I do. I’ve just been introduced to J-Hope, Itsy, and Hyuna, so I’m gonna have to take a listen to the other songs from her post.

On A Vueltas Por los Mundos, Jamedi takes a deep dive into a fascinating book and interviews the author in the post made yesterday. I think it’s awesome that they were able to get so much detail from the author, and I applaud the interview questions. I look forward to more!

[UPDATE] I finally got into Solarayo’s page, and Ace Asunder looks like a site I will frequently be visiting…cats, Blaugust, and gaming…three things I am into. The latest post I read covered the game Control, and while I’ve heard good things about the game, I think the rundown that is provided is pretty cool. And I have to say that Solarayo is much more dedicated than I am…not only did they complete the game, unlocking all the trophies, but they also managed to get screenshots of them all…I am truly impressed.

With these 5 sites coming on board and getting added to my new blog roll (when I get it put together), I only have about 60 more to go…unless or until there are more people who join into the fun, that is Blaugust.

  1. Okay, this might be the single best post-fodder idea I’ve seen from #Blaugust2022 so far (and a lot of folks are doing very clever things indeed this time around).

  2. Great post, RR.

Looking forward to seeing more of your blog-overviews honestly, it’s super handy with just how many there are and how hard it is to keep up! xD

I’ve taken a look at some of the new ones, particularly from those showing up in the Discord, but still many, many more to go. 🙂
