Blaugust Day 6 Ramble about Warcraft and Goals

Balking at Warcraft

I installed WoW on my new computer and fired it up this morning…hmm…so much has changed. Well, I suppose I need to figure out what plugins I had so things will at least look somewhat familiar, but so much seems to be different.

New talents, new spells, maybe I’ll swap out from Balance to Feral. I had been Balance because I wanted to only have to worry about getting the common stats between Balance and Restoration, because I mostly like healing. Now I’m thinking that I might go with Feral and Restoration because Feral seems a bit more straight forward as an alternate to my healing spec.

And one thing that’s bothered me about Druids is that it seems they really have a difficult time leveling as Restoration. Perhaps things are different now, but I always found that unless I swapped specs, it would take forever to kill things as a Tree.

Anyway, I think I’m gonna have to start with one of my lower level characters so I have less of a learning curve. Yeah, I haven’t played much WoW for months other than some low level stuff so I’m almost clueless about what abilities I have as a 91 level Druid.

Some Plans

With the learning curve I’m gonna have in WoW, I think I’m gonna have to layout some goals to get things moving before Legion comes out. I also want to get some other progress going in other games, so I think a few plans are in order.

1) get my Druid up to level 100 before Legion comes out
2) spend time leveling up in Lord of the Rings – I really want to catch up in this game and I’d like to get to the end and see Mordor – I’d put a level on my goal, but I haven’t been in game in a while so I have no idea where I’m at.
3) level up a bit more in Wildstar – I want to make it to the ‘end game’ – once again, I won’t have a level goal due to neglect.
4) I’ll throw in a non-MMO goal…start up and level a champ for Season 7 of Diablo III.

I think that’s plenty of goals to put down in writing. I’ve got other things I’d like to do gaming-wise, but that’s enough to reach for…it’s supposed to be fun not seem like work.
