Morning Ramble 394: Plans for August
July is just about history and its time to start looking at what I plan on accomplishing during the next month.
August brings the tail end of Summer and the days get warm and sleepy but I have some lofty goals and here are just a few.
Albion Online
I’ll start with a game I just started playing yesterday…Albion. This looks like it can be a pretty fun sandbox game along the lines of a Wurm Online combined with Eve Online – lots of crafting, a player driven economy, and large guild battles over territory and resources. As far as I can tell you can control your own island as a version of player housing and can do so at a relatively low level. My goal for Albion is to first understand the game and the convoluted leveling process, but then to obtain one of these personal islands to start developing.
Secret World Legends
I’m gonna get off Solomon Island and continue my investigations into this world. I didn’t play this as much as I wanted in July, but I’m determined to make progress in August.
Comic Reading
For the last few months I feel I’ve made some good progress in my comic book reading and I’ve been enjoying the different comic projects I’ve been moving through. For August, I want to keep up my reading and continue making progress on my 1963 Marvel, the DC Rebirth, and the modern Marvelous Year reading projects, so I’m gonna target a comic a day for August. 31 comics shouldn’t be too hard to get through in a month. I’ve also got a couple of graphic novels to get through for my reading group – Letter 44 vol 4 and The Flintstones vol 1.
Novel Reading
I hope that this month brings the Raymond Feist novels to Kindle and Audible and if so, I want to read through one of those, but even if those don’t come out, my goal is 4 books again. Perhaps I’ll start up some Drizzt reading if Feist isn’t out yet,
Diablo 3
I’m gonna run through the new season of Diablo on a Necromancer this month .
MOBAs
I’ll just throw both League and SMITE into one category this month since I want to focus on other things mostly. I’m almost up to ranked play in SMITE so I just want to make the final push to get there. I’d also like to try to move up to Silver 2 n League.
I think that’s plenty for August.
