Checking out the City

Daily Ramble 47: Checking Out the City

I made my first journey to the main trading hub today. Caerleon is the main city and the central player area of Albion. To get there I simply stripped off all my gear and teleported there from my personal island. One thing of note is that there were tons of people there. That’s a good sign because slowly but surely I have seen the population of Fort Sterling dwindle and since we’re coming up on the two month anniversary of the game starting it makes me concerned long term.

Another interesting tidbit that occurred today is that my guilt joined a new alliance. Actually the main reason I went to Caerleon was to see how and if I would be able to travel to the alliance staging area. I didn’t have much time to play around and the city but I was unable to find out if there was any kind of transport mechanism to get from the main city to the outlying areas. I’ll have to try again tomorrow.

For the most part though Caerleon was pretty much the same as Fort Sterling. Lots of people, portals to the arena and to expeditions, the bank, the standard auction house, but then there was also a black market auction house. From the looks of things there were some fairly expensive and high-level gear that was available in this black market place but I wasn’t there to purchase anything I was just looking around.

In any case I should have more time to explore the city tomorrow. I may also try to see about venturing in to a hellgate soon, but that’s all for a short day.
