#2018MMM Final Roar!

The Final Roar went out last night and only 2 mammals remain. The Pygmy Hippo, the Coyote, the Orinoco Crocodile (not really a mammal but in the tournament), and the Amebelodon all entered the ring on Monday and blood flew. These creatures did not enter the contests scar-free…no, they endured many battles leading into the Final Roar.

Pygmy Hippo vs. the Coyote

The Pygmy Hippo was the #1 seed of the Great Adaptations division. She had to fight through the Star-Nosed Mole, the Maned Rat, the Tasmanian Devil, and the Cheetah just to make it to the Final Roar to take on the Coyote.

The Coyote on the other hand was the #4 seed and fought through the Urban Jungle division with some tough contests. He had to take on the Opossum, the Sewer Rat, the Harar Hyena, and the Porcupine just to reach this far. He’s been pretty wiley up to this point though it’ll take all his cunning to take on the Hippo.

Hippo wins!

Orinoco Crocodile vs. Amebelodon

Crocodiles have been known to take on Elephants so this should be a good contest even though the Amebelodon is so much larger than the Crocodile.

To get here, the Crocodile had to fight through the “When the Kat’s Away” division where anything went…meaning any type of creature could compete, not just mammals. Dragons, crabs, owls, and sharks all competed this year and the Croc reigned supreme in the division after beating the Praying Mantis, the Giant Tarantula, the Secretary Bird, and the Green Anaconda. Does he have enough to take down the Amebelodon in the Final Roar?

The Amebelodon is definitely old school having fought through the Antecessors division. I didn’t have anything riding on this prehistoric elephant but she’s proven to be a smart fighter. She took down the Deinogalerix, the Homo floresiensis, the Dimetrodon, and finally the Doedicurus. These were some epic battles and the Amebelodon has some serious wounds she’s carrying into tonight’s battle. Will she have enough left to take down the Crocodile?

Amebelodon wins!
