Breaking outta it’s Slump

Hopefully this game was evidence that the offense is breaking outta it’s slump because it was fun to see the Angels score some runs.

I’d sure like to see more games like Thursday’s since the Angels seemed to have everything go their way for a change. Actually, it was more like the games they played in April before this recent slump hit them. As a team they put together 12 hits with 2 home runs and 8 runs. That’s the team I expect them to be and the one I think Artie Moreno paid for in the off season.

Eight is Enough

To add to the good showing of the offense, Nick Tropeano pitched a good game scattering 4 hits over 7 1/3 innings to pick up the win.

Back to the offense though, Trout and Pujols hit homers and 5 diffferent Angels had multihit games. It was certainly fun to watch and I have to give my Player of the Game to Shohei Ohtani who reached base 4 times – 2 by walk and 2 by double. He didn’t grab any RBIs but he did score twice and was a good catalyst for the team. Maldonado had a good game as well picking up 3 RBIs on 2 hits to help power the offense.

On the whole, it’s a good game and one that I enjoyed watching.

Today, the Angels head to New York to try to stop the powerhouse Yankees. When they came to Anaheim, the Yanks decimated my team during the middle stretch of their slump. Hopefully it’s time for some payback.
