I Love Secret World Legends!

As I mentioned previously, the MMO Book Club is headed into the Secret World this month and I’m along for the ride. I started up a new character and joined in on the Bookclub cabal to see what experiences I could this time around. And I gotta say I love Secret World Legends!

Still Missioning Through Kingsmouth

Of course I over estimated where I was at in the game. In the planning post for June I mentioned that I was halfway through Kingsmouth but then I forget how large that town actually is. It has tons of missions to go through and even now, that it’s 14 days into the experience, I know I might now be halfway through all the missions…probably not even that. If I hadn’t got sick last weekend I probably would have been able to push through twice as many missions and be almost done with the town but as it stands, I’ve completed about 38 of the primary missions in Kingsmouth. And I have been focusing on trying to move the story forward to get on to the Savage Coast, but there’s still a bunch of quests. The main way I’ve been moving forward has been to complete the daily challenge which asks me to complete at least 3 main missions and 3 side missions along with killing 50 monsters and crafting upgrades and such. There’s a second level to the challenge that I’ve accomplished once that added another bunch of main and side missions but I’ve only been able to get that done once…because I was sick and couldn’t focus that long last weekend.

In any case, I’m thinking I might make my way outta Kingsmouth this weekend or at least that’s gonna be my goal. I’ve already ran through the Kingsmouth dungeon so I know I’m pretty well geared since I was able to get through it without dying on my first try…actually, I’ve never made it through without dying at least once in Polaris. But then I’ve also invested some effort to gather some decent weapons from the auction house and I’ve got both a blue Assault Rifle for my main weapon and a blue Shotgun for my secondary (I’ll post about the details later).

So in all, I’m enjoying this current run through Kingsmouth and will probably be putting together a few more focused posts about how Mellari (the character I’m guiding through the game) is doing in the game and how her skill set is different from the Blood skills I’ve used in the past.
