Reading in the month of #BlaugustReborn

Daily Ramble 8: Reading in the month of #BlaugustReborn

Last month I kinda dropped the ball on planning out my reading goals but with Comic-Con, things were screwy anyway. This month, I’m not gonna head into things without some goals.

I’m gonna try to get back into my reading routine by tackling a bunch of books this month. The first of which is for the Mysterious Galaxy Book Club I go to every month. They’re reading Every Heart a Doorway by Seanan McGuire. This is Book won a bunch of awards and I’m looking forward to reading it.

For nonfiction historical I’m looking at what the Goodreads History Book Club is reading and taking a look at The Romanovs 1613-1918 by Simon Sebag Montefiore.

Jumping over to some fantasy and the Sword and Laser book club, I take a look at Jade City by Fonda Lee. This one won an award as well so maybe this month is gonna be full of award winners.

I’m also continuing my Isaac Asimov reading with Foundation’s Edge and the Raymond Feist reading with Prince of the Blood so that makes it 5 books but I want to add a science type book as well.

One thing I’ve noticed about the science books I’ve been choosing has been that their names are extremely long. So this month I’m picking a title with over 10 words in it… Factfulness: Ten Reasons We’re Wrong About the World–and Why Things Are Better Than You Think by Hans Rosling, Ola Rosling, and Anna Rosling Ronnlund.

I’m looking forward to getting back into reading and maybe even catching up on my goal of reading 58 books this year.
