Marvel Unlimited New Weekly Releases November 5, 2018

Marvel releases comics to the Unlimited platform about 6 months after they come out in floppy format so this week we are seeing comics from May 2, 2018. In an effort to try to read some more “modern” issues, I’ve been tracking what’s currently being released and trying to catch up from recent number ones…we’ll see how that goes.

Here’s what I’ve found this week that were released in May 2018:

Marvel Unlimited New Weekly Releases November 5, 2018

  • Astonishing X-Men #11
  • Avengers #1 – now that No Surrender is over a new story begins
  • Avengers: Back to Basics #5
  • Captain America #701
  • Hunt for Wolverine: Weapon Lost #1 – Daredevil assembles a team to find Wolverine
  • Infinity Countdown #3
  • Rise of the Black Panther #5
  • Rogue & Gambit #5 – this finishes off the limited series
  • Spider-Man #240 – Brian Michael Bendis says goodbye to Miles Morales
  • Star Wars #47
  • Venomized #5
  • Weapon X #17
  • X-Men: Gold #27
  • You Are Deadpool #1 – you get to decide what Deadpool does in this one

Only 14 comics released today (compared to the 22 last week) and I feel like I’m actually starting the get a handle on my comic reading again. No longer am I stressing over reading every issue that’s newly released and I’m not even worried that I won’t be able to read all the DC limited releases. Hmm…actually maybe that’s what they should rebrand the DC Universe service as – DC Limited (of course in opposition to Marvel Unlimited).

Anyway, looking at Comic Book Roundup which aggregates a bunch of review sites, here are the top issues from this batch of comics. I’m gonna at least read through these top 5 and we’ll see if I can get to more…

  1. You Are Deadpool #1
  2. Avengers #1
  3. Rogue & Gambit #5
  4. Star Wars #47
  5. Rise of the Black Panther #5

And here’s a look back at a few of the issues I’ve read from these titles…
Avengers #1 & #2
Avengers #3
X-Men Gold
X-Men: Gold #2
Astonishing X-Men #9
