Supernatural Bugs and Too Many Comics
Today started out with our regular bug exterminator dropping by to spray around our yard to keep the number of nasties down and it quickly got busy. So busy in fact I didn’t have much time to throw together my web chronicle for chapter 2 of The Rook until this afternoon. This chapter while not as extensive as the first still did a great job of building up the universe of the story and I’m loving it. In addition to my chapter read I also consolidated my reading list from the last week and I’m sad to say I didn’t get much reading in this week. Oh well, what I did read was pretty good and I did start my re-read of The Rook so it worked out.
Reading for Week 25 of 2019
This week was a bit slow as far as reading goes and I didn’t get through too many comics. I suppose that’s good news for my backlog but I really have to do one of two things…
1. start reading more issues that I add to my pull list each week – this would allow me to start chewing through my backlog after I finish off the comics for the week and I can start to make progress on all the cool issues I already set out to read in the past. The problem with this method is that I struggle right now to try reading all the issues I pull each week.
2. start selecting fewer comics to pull each week – this would make it easier to read through my weekly list and start getting to the backlog. The problem is that I’d be missing out on issues that I currently am pulling.
In any case, I read through 7 individual issues and the Robotech volume one graphic novel.

Supernatural MI5
Chapter 2 of The Rook added some explanation to Myfanwy’s situation but it also added to the number of questions I’ve got. The cool thing is we find out she’s part of some kind of a supernatural spy agency that works for the British government…so this really is like The Secret World.
Beyond that, this second chapter moves a bit from building up the character of Myfanwy to developing the world as we find out about the Checquy Group and how the original Myfanwy became a member. Based on this, I’m excited to find out what’s gonna happen when she heads in to work and has to deal with the other supernatural spies.

It’s a Wrap
With the supernatural spy agency in The Rook and the bug exterminator this morning I’m really thinking the Universe is trying to tell me I should play more Secret World Legends. My main character is still sitting at level 43 where she was when I left her a few months ago and since I’m heading into the Scorched Desert things will be all new for me. Hopefully I’ll get some time tonight or tomorrow to jump in and try out a few missions but in the mean time, I’ve got a few comics I want to read from my pull list to kick off my week 26 reading list.
