Time Marches

Even in times of tragedy, time marches forward. The Angels played their first game without Tyler Skaggs last night and while they had a moment of silence to honor their fallen teammate, nothing is gonna make up for missing him. But they had to move on and get back to their job.
And speaking of jobs, yesterday I got a good look at what Myfanwy Thomas’ job was in chapter 5 of The Rook. While she didn’t get into any of the fighting, she was pretty kick ass.
Finally, I take a quick look at and exhibit some frustration at a champ that I’ve never seen kick ass in League of Legends. Qiyana should never have been released if you ask me.

A Moment of Silence and a Win

The Angels are trying to recover from the tragedy of Tyler Skaggs’ death and I’m sure there are lots of mixed feelings about wether to get back on the field to play their game so they did what they could…they had a moment of silence and then went on to win the game.

Sure they won’t win all the games for Skaggs but they got one and they will always remember him.

To honor him, they’re wearing his number on their jerseys the rest of the season but more importantly, he’ll be in their thoughts and prayers as he is in mine.

A Look Back

Chapter 5 of The Rook was a nice look back at how things used to operate when Thomas was in control of her own body. She was pretty good at what she did and was able to juggle multiple competing priorities proficiently.

In comparison, our new Myfanwy has a lot of learning to do. She seems to be able to use her powers a bit better or at least we haven’t seen Thomas use her powers at all, she’s only used her skills and education. But Myfanwy doesn’t have any of the know-how that Thomas had. That can prove to be a problem in the search for whoever assaulted her.

Regardless, I think it was a good chapter and helped us understand how things work in the Checquy. They seem like a pretty good special forces unit with superpowers so far, much better than even the Men in Black but obviously there are problems since someone what’s to kill or at least mind wipe one of their top officers.

Worst Champion Introduced EVER!

I really am surprised that Riot thought Qiyana was a good concept for a champ. Not only does the concept completely confuse me but her gameplay is horrible. Every time I see one of my teammates trying to select her I am seriously tempted to ban her since she will only drag the team down. And honestly, I have not seen one player be remotely competent with her.

Ok, I probably should look to YouTube or something but why bother? It’s not like I am gonna be playing her any time soon

Kicking The Day Off Right

A look back at yesterday helps to put things into perspective today and I’m looking forward to seeing what today brings. I no longer have to worry about a nail in my car tire and I can move forward from the horrible Qiyana teammates I’ve had.

More important, I can move on to chapter 6 of The Rook and continue my prayers for the loved ones of Tyler Skaggs.

Oh, and today is Comics Wednesday so I’ve gotta figure out my Pull List…
