DC Universe New Weekly Releases November 26, 2019

DC Comics started to release new comics to their DC Universe platform about a year after they enter circulation as floppies. With that in mind, I decided to list off those released each week as I do for Marvel Unlimited. The DC releases come out on Monday just like the Marvel comics but since they are pushed to their site in the evening I figured I’d publish their list on Tuesday…

Here’s the new stuff I’ve found this week that was released November 21st, 2018:

Top Comics This Week

10 new comics released today compared to 12 last week.  Looking at Comic Book Roundup which aggregates a bunch of review sites, here are the top issues from this batch of comics. Two issues attained the criteria for my Top Issues this week (8.5 rating from 2 or more sites).

  • Injustice 2 Annual #2
by Tom Taylor and Bruno Redondo.
Injustice 2 ends here-so as the story segues into/sets up the Injustice 2 video game, we take one final look back.  Batman and Superman’s alliance was torn apart years ago by the events of Injustice. But when Bruce Wayne receives unexpected visitors, he is reminded of a happier time when Clark was his savior. A time of the World’s Finest friendship.
  • Justice League Dark #5
James Tyrion IV, Danial Sampere, and Juan Albarran.
Wonder Woman’s magic act…banned! The DCU’s magical community collectively freaks out and forbids Wonder Woman and the JL Dark team from meddling in magic anymore after the disastrous events of the “Witching Hour” storyline. The team seeks refuge in the only place they can think of: Detective Chimp’s inherited, magical realm of Myrra-but not everyone is happy to bow to the new Nightmaster! So how can things get worse for the sorcery super-team? One word: dragons!

Concluding Issues

Some stories have been told and transform into something new.

  • Harley Quinn #54
by Sam Humphries and Lucas Weneck.
Harley and failed Female Fury Petite Tina go road-tripping! With their lives a roaring dumpster fire, Harley and Tina decide to get out of town for a mini-vacay, and wind up driving each other crazy instead. An unplanned detour leads them to run afoul of a new baddie called Minor Disaster, whose so-called “Disaster Dial” only causes small calamities such as texting your ex and pooping your pants. Harley and Tina must now put their differences aside to stop Minor Disaster before she spells disaster for them both!
This issue completes the Harley Destroys the Universe arc that covers issues #50 thru #54.
Harley Quinn has a tough road ahead: travel through time and space to fix all the continuity errors she’s created in her many misadventures. Luckily, she’ll have help, because riding shotgun is none other than special guest star Jonni DC, Continuity Cop! Good thing, too, because if Harley fails, it means her own mom will be lost forever. Hey, that sounds more painful than funny! Learn more in these tales from HARLEY QUINN #50-54.
  • Injustice 2 Annual #2
This issue finishes off the Injustice 2 title and it was a pretty good run.
