Another Bad Day of EverQuest

I ended today without getting into Everquest again. ARGH! Oh well, I’ll get in eventually and finally advance past level 5. In the meantime, I’m rolling along nicely in Destiny 2 and having a blast. I enjoyed the game the first time around on my PS4, and while I’m still getting used to the PC Keyboard and mouse controls, I’m having fun.

Destiny 2

Good New Everyone! I’ve figured out what I should be doing in Destiny…I need to go back to the original campaign and start fresh.

Apparently, when Destiny went free-to-play a while ago, they got rid of the natural order of things. New players no longer had to deal with a long storyline to gain levels and build up power levels. Instead, they opened up what seems to me to be a free-for-all, do-whatever-you-want style of gameplay that, for me, is pretty confusing.

Sure, it’s nice that I can run wherever I want and play with any friends I have right off the bat, but I’ don’t know many people playing Destiny right now, and the freedom to do whatever I want causes some anxiety about deciding what to do.

So…I have decided I’m gonna finish off the few quests I have here in the European Dead Zone and then head back to the Tower where I’ve heard I can pick up the Red War Campaign and I can play through the main story of Destiny 2 just like I did before.

I figure that at least that will give me some context to base my gameplay on, and once I get my sea legs under me, I can then turn around and start enjoying the free-for-all style of do-whatever-you-want.

We’ll see how this goes as I dive back into Destiny 2.

EverQuest

EverQuest was another miss today as I was unable to stay in the queue long enough to get into gathering game. This is getting a bit frustrating because while there may be some people who can play at 2-3 AM, I’m pretty much relegated to playing during normal hours after work or for a short time before I go into the ‘office’. Ok, so I’m not really going anywhere and am just sitting in my home office, but I do have to focus on work during normal work hours.

Anyway, EverQuest was a wash again today. We’ll see how things go this weekend, I guess.

It’s a Wrap

Today was a bit of a hit and miss day. EverQuest was definitely a miss, and while I started out confused in Destiny, I think I’ve come to understand what direction I need to go in the game. I’m certainly hoping so.
